Since the beginning, ACSCO has been proud to have been integral in design, development and production of custom metal trim components for limited edition vehicles in the automotive industry. We have supplied our customers with a wide range of metal trim manufacturing capabilities and engineering support.
Not only are we active in the design of the products, but we engineer and supervise the tooling and then validate all our designs. ACSCO has an on-site lab to perform our own testing for thermal and electrical properties. Once we are satisfied our designs meet or exceed your product’s needs, we supervise the manufacturing process to ensure your trim products are delivered on time.
We offer the following metal trim manufacturing processes:
Die Cast: Most often used in low volume automotive and commercial applications, our zinc die cast components yield a deep and dramatic appearance. This process is necessary when your design calls for unusual shapes or polished chrome-plated finishes. Initial tooling costs, while lower than plastic molds, are offset by the slightly higher part prices. Aluminum die casting is also available.
Deep Etch: Mainly used in interior applications, this process produces high detail and graphic clarity. Using round, square or rectangular shapes, deep etched components are brushed and painted in order to reproduce graphic designs perfectly. Tool preparation costs are very low making this process ideal for prototype or low volume products. Materials include zinc, magnesium, copper and stainless steel. Unique serialization is available in this format. |
